Richard: Leo, look at me, buddy. How did you get this scratch?
Amanda: She grabbed him, Richard! She grabbed his arm because he wouldn't clean up his toys!
Sarah: I didn't touch him roughly, Mr. Richard! I swear on my life!
Amanda: Don't listen to her excuses! She's a low-class liar trying to cover her tracks!
Leo: Sarah didn't do it, Daddy! Grandma did it!
Amanda's face flushed bright red as she took a sharp step toward the young boy.
Amanda: Leo! Don't you dare tell stories to your father!
Toby: Grandma squeezed Leo's hand real hard! I saw it!
Amanda: They are confused, Richard! The maid brainwashed them into blaming me!
Sarah: Why would I ever hurt the children, Mrs. Amanda? I love them!
Amanda: You love their trust fund money! You're just a greedy nanny trying to secure your job!
Richard: Everyone stop talking for one second.
Richard stood up slowly, his face pale as he stared at his stepmother. Amanda adjusted her beige blazer, smoothing her silk blouse with shaking hands.
Amanda: Richard, as the executor of your late father's estate, I strongly advise you to fire this girl immediately. She is a liability to this family.
Richard: You want me to fire her without even investigating what happened?
Amanda: The scratch on your son's wrist is all the proof you need! What more do you want?
Sarah: Mr. Richard, please listen to the boys. I was in the kitchen preparing their lunch when Mrs. Amanda arrived.
Amanda: You were slacking off! I found Leo crying in the foyer!
Leo: I was crying because Grandma tried to take my mom's picture away!
Richard's head snapped around, his dark eyes fixing instantly on Leo.
Richard: What picture, Leo?
Leo: The small framed picture of Mommy on the hallway table. Grandma took it and tried to put it in her purse!
Amanda: That picture is family property! It belongs in the master storage room, not on display where everyone can see it!
Richard: That was my wife's favorite portrait, Amanda. Why were you moving it?
Amanda: Because this house needs to move on! You're dwelling on the past, Richard!
Sarah: When Leo tried to grab the frame back, Mrs. Amanda grabbed his wrist forcefully.
Amanda: You weren't even in the hallway, you lying little rat!
Sarah: I heard Leo scream, Mrs. Amanda. I ran out just as you hid the frame in your coat.
Amanda: This is ridiculous! Are you going to take the word of hired help over your own stepmother?!
Richard: I'm taking the word of my son, Amanda.
Amanda: He's six years old! He doesn't know what he's saying! She coached him to say those words!
Leo reached up and touched his father's navy sleeve, pointing his small index finger up toward the high white wall above the fireplace mantel.
Leo: THE CAMERA KNOWS!
