A Desperate Attempt to Flee

The Maid Dropped Her Tray to Save My Poisoned Life

Sarah's high heels clicked loudly across the polished marble floor of the big foyer as she ran toward the heavy front door. She grabbed her designer purse from the side table, frantically searching inside for her luxury sports car keys.

Mark and two of the male dinner guests rushed out of the dining room right behind her, determined not to let her escape into the dark night. Elena followed closely behind them, keeping the phone with the video evidence tucked safely into her inner apron pocket.

Mark: Stop her at the front door! Do not let her drive away in that sports car before the police arrive!

Sarah: Get out of my way! If anyone touches me, my high-powered divorce lawyer will destroy every single one of you!

Guest Two: You are not going anywhere, Sarah! The police are already on their way to this location right now!

Sarah: Leave me alone! My life is completely ruined because of that stupid house cleaner!

Elena: You ruined your own life the second you decided to put poison inside your husband's evening glass of wine!

Sarah pulled her car keys out of her bag and frantically unlocked the heavy front door, throwing it open with all her strength. But as she stepped out onto the wide stone porch, bright red and blue lights suddenly flashed through the dark front driveway.

Two local police cruisers pulled up right in front of the steps, their tires crunching loudly on the gravel driveway. The officers had been dispatched immediately after one of the dinner guests had called emergency services from the dining table.

Sarah stopped completely in her tracks on the stone porch, caught right in the bright beam of the police car headlights. Two uniformed officers stepped out of their vehicles quickly, moving up the front steps with their hands resting on their side belts.

Officer One: Nobody move! We received an urgent call regarding an attempted poisoning at this residential address!

Mark: Officer, thank goodness you arrived so fast. My wife just tried to take my life inside our dining room.

Sarah: Officer, he is lying! These crazy people trapped me inside my own home and made up a fake story!

Elena: I have clear surveillance footage right here on my phone, officer. You can see the entire crime happening on video.

The main police officer stepped forward onto the porch, looking carefully at the frantic woman and then back at the calm husband. The quiet suburban neighborhood was now filled with the pulsing red lights of justice breaking through the dark night.
