A Sudden Public Interruption

A Wealthy Woman Framed Her Maid Until The CCTV Video Played

The tension inside the grand mansion was so thick that nobody dared to breathe aloud. Elena held her burning cheek with a trembling hand, her tears falling fast onto her clean apron. She felt completely helpless against the powerful family that paid her small salary. In high society, the word of a wealthy donor always outweighed the quiet truth of a working-class maid.

Victoria snatched the leather bag off the floor herself, her painted nails digging deep into the soft material. She pulled the main zipper open with a sharp sound that cut through the silence. She reached deep inside and pulled out a heavy object that caught the bright sunlight. A stunning diamond necklace glittered brightly in her hand, sparking loud gasps from the surrounding guests.

Victoria: Look at this! See, everyone? She hid my diamond necklace right inside her dirty personal bag!

Elena: No! That cannot be real! I have never seen that necklace in my life!

Victoria: You were caught red-handed! Call the police immediately and have this criminal thrown in state prison!

The guests began to whisper fiercely among themselves, shaking their heads in disgust at the young woman. Elena felt her knees buckle under the immense pressure of their judgment. She looked around the circle of faces, searching desperate eyes for a single person who might show her a shred of mercy or understanding. Every single face looked cold, distant, and completely convinced of her guilt.

Just as two security guards grabbed Elena by her arms, a strong voice echoed from the hallway entrance. The crowd parted quickly as a tall man in a tailored dark velvet suit stepped into the center of the room. It was Julian Sterling, Victoria's younger brother-in-law and the primary trustee of the family foundation. Julian was known throughout the business world as a firm, highly disciplined corporate lawyer who hated lies and dramatic public scenes.

Julian: Stop this right now! Let go of her arms immediately!

Victoria: Julian, stay out of this! The maid stole my diamond necklace and I just found it in her tote bag!

Julian: I heard the noise from the study. But something about this scene makes no logical sense to me at all.

Julian walked up to Victoria with firm, deliberate footsteps, his face set in a stern expression. He looked down at the leather bag resting on the marble table, then looked closely at Elena's crying face. He noticed the bright red mark on the young woman's cheek and frowned deeply. Julian was an expert at reading human behavior, and he could see genuine terror in Elena's eyes, not the panic of a caught thief.

Julian: Why would a thief put a stolen item into a bag left out in the open foyer instead of taking it straight outside?

Victoria: She was planning to run away later! She is a stupid girl who thought she could get away with robbing us!

Julian: Elena has worked here for two years without a single penny ever going missing. We need proper evidence before calling the authorities.
