A New Beginning

The Maid Serves Dinner Until A Boy Calls Her Mommy

The guests slowly gathered their personal belongings and walked outside.

They spoke in quiet whispers about the dramatic events tonight.

Julian walked over to Sarah and offered his clean hand warmly.

Julian: The family trust fund belongs entirely to Leo now, Sarah.

Sarah shook her head gently while looking into Julian's eyes.

Sarah: I do not care about the grand mansion or money.

Sarah: I only ever wanted my sweet little boy back home.

Leo wrapped his tiny arms around Sarah's neck very tightly.

Leo: Can we go home together right now, Mommy?

Sarah: Yes, my love, we are going home together tonight.

Julian smiled warmly and reached into his coat pocket again.

He handed her a set of keys to a comfortable apartment downtown.

Julian: I bought a beautiful home for you two yesterday afternoon.

Julian: You will never have to work as a catering maid again.

Sarah wiped a final joyful tear from her soft cheek.

Sarah: Thank you for bringing justice to my life, Julian.

Julian: It was the right thing to do for my family.

Julian walked them out to the front entrance of the mansion.

The cool night air felt fresh and clean against Sarah's skin.

She removed her grey apron and threw it onto the bench.

She held Leo tightly in her arms as they walked outside.

The dark storm clouds above were finally starting to clear away.

Bright white stars shone brightly down upon the peaceful driveway.

Leo looked up at the night sky with a happy smile.

Leo: I love you so much, Mommy.

Sarah: I love you more than all the stars, my son.

They stepped into the waiting car together as a real family.

A long journey of pain had finally ended in sweet justice.
