Victoria stood frozen in the middle of the grand hallway, her face turning completely white as she looked at her furious husband. She tried to quickly change her expression, squeezing out fake tears and reaching her hands out toward Arthur in desperation.
Victoria: Arthur, my love! Please do not listen to this crazy maid! She fell down the stairs with Lily!
Sarah: She is lying, Mr. Vance! I have the memory card from the security cameras right here in my shoe!
Arthur: Guards! Grab her and do not let her move an inch!
The two stern security guards stepped forward immediately and grabbed Victoria by her arms, holding her firmly in place near the marble pillars. Victoria began screaming and kicking her legs, her elegant white dress getting wrinkled as she fought against the strong men.
Victoria: Let go of me! Arthur, tell these peasants to unhand your wife right now!
Arthur: You are not my wife anymore! You are a monster who put hands on my innocent child!
Arthur picked up his sobbing daughter and held her gently against his chest, wiping away her tears with his thumb. He looked into Lily's small eyes, feeling a deep wave of guilt for having trusted the wrong woman for so many months. Lily reached out her tiny hand and touched Arthur's cheek, whispering softly into his ear.
Lily: Daddy, Sarah saved me from the bad lady. Please do not let her hurt Sarah anymore.
Arthur looked down at Sarah, who was still kneeling on the floor, holding a tissue to her bleeding lip. He saw the dark bruised mark on her face where Victoria had struck her, and he realized the incredible courage it took for her to protect his child against such cruelty.
Arthur: Sarah, I am so deeply sorry for putting you and my daughter in this danger. You saved my little girl's life today.
Sarah: I could not let her harm Lily anymore, Mr. Vance. I am just glad you came home in time.
Arthur immediately called his chief corporate lawyer and the head of the local police department. Within twenty minutes, two police cruisers pulled up the long driveway with their red lights flashing bright against the afternoon sky. The officers walked into the grand foyer, took the security memory card from Sarah, and placed Victoria under arrest for child endangerment, assault, and felony abuse.
As the officers put metal handcuffs around Victoria's wrists, she looked back at Arthur with pure hatred in her cold eyes. She realized that her dreams of taking Arthur's vast estate and inheritance money were completely gone forever.
Victoria: You will regret this, Arthur! I will take half of everything you own in court!
Arthur: You will not get a single penny from my estate, Victoria. My lawyer has already filed for an emergency annulment and a civil lawsuit that will bankrupt you completely.
The officers dragged Victoria out the heavy grand doors, throwing her into the back of the police car as the rain finally began to clear up outside. Arthur stood in the peaceful doorway, holding Lily tightly while Sarah stood nearby, smiling through her tears.
